**Pileru** is a town in [Annamayya district](/source/Annamayya_district) of [Rayalaseema](/source/Rayalaseema) region of the Indian state of [Andhra Pradesh](/source/Andhra_Pradesh). Pileru is located 197 Km North East of [Bangalore](/source/Bangalore), The Capital City Of [Karnataka](/source/Karnataka) and 189 Km North West of [Chennai](/source/Chennai), The Capital City Of [Tamil Nadu](/source/Tamil_Nadu) and 464 Km South To The State Capital [Amaravati](/source/Amaravati).It is the mandal headquarters of Pileru mandal in [Pileru revenue division](/source/Pileru_revenue_division). The name 'Pileru' means a "small river stream" or "Pilla Eru" in Telugu.
