**Masanori Taki** (瀧 正則, *Taki Masanori*; born April 8, 1967), better known by his stage name **Pierre Taki** (ピエール瀧, *Piēru Taki*), is the front man for Japanese [synthpop](/source/Synthpop) group [Denki Groove](/source/Denki_Groove), which consists of himself and [Takkyu Ishino](/source/Takkyu_Ishino).[1] As of 2001 he was involved in an exhibit called [Prince Tongha](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Prince_Tongha&action=edit&redlink=1) with [Hideyuki Tanaka](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Hideyuki_Tanaka_(graphic_designer)&action=edit&redlink=1) in New York City.[2] He also frequently appears as an actor in film and on television.[3]

## Legal issues

In March 2019, Taki was arrested on suspicion of cocaine use and his latest video game, *[Judgment](/source/Judgment_(video_game))*, was withdrawn from sale by the publisher, [Sega](/source/Sega).[3][20] His appearance has been removed in the Western release.[21] He was later released on bail on April 4, 2019.[22] After he admitted to using cocaine, the Tokyo District court sentenced him to eighteen months in prison, suspended for three years.[23]

His voice acting roles were also replaced such as Olaf from *[Frozen](/source/Frozen_(2013_film))*.[24][25] Home video releases of *Frozen* were removed in Japan.[26]

Since then, [Shunsuke Takeuchi](/source/Shunsuke_Takeuchi) became the new Japanese dub voice of Olaf.
