'''Pierre Collet''' (born 1948) is a French [mathematical physicist](/source/mathematical_physicist), specializing in [statistical mechanics](/source/statistical_mechanics), [stochastic processes](/source/stochastic_processes), and [chaos theory](/source/chaos_theory).

Collet is known for mathematically exact investigations of several model systems in statistical mechanics and chaos theory.
