**Pierce County** was a [county](/source/County_(United_States)) in [Minnesota](/source/Minnesota), created on March 5, 1853, from [Dakota County](/source/Dakota_County,_Minnesota). It was originally bounded by the [Minnesota River](/source/Minnesota_River) to the west and the south, [Nicollet County](/source/Nicollet_County,_Minnesota) to the east, north fork of the [Crow River](/source/Crow_River_(Minnesota)) to the north, and [Pembina County](/source/Pembina_County,_Minnesota) in the northwest. It was fully dissolved and incorporated into Big Sioux, [Davis](/source/Davis_County,_Minnesota) and [Renville](/source/Renville_County,_Minnesota) Counties in 1855.
