**Picture Rock Pass**, elevation 4,830 feet (1,470 m), is a [mountain pass](/source/Mountain_pass) in [Oregon](/source/Oregon) traversed by [Oregon Route 31](/source/Oregon_Route_31). It is located between the communities of [Silver Lake](/source/Silver_Lake,_Oregon) and [Paisley](/source/Paisley,_Oregon) in [Lake County](/source/Lake_County,_Oregon). Geographically, it separates [Silver Lake](/source/Silver_Lake_(Oregon)) and [Summer Lake](/source/Summer_Lake_(Oregon)).[1] These two lakes with their related [drainage basins](/source/Drainage_basin) are the most northwesterly part of the [Great Basin](/source/Great_Basin).[2]

The name of the pass comes from [petroglyphs](/source/Petroglyph) on rocks south of the highway at the [Picture Rock Pass Petroglyphs Site](/source/Picture_Rock_Pass_Petroglyphs_Site).[1]
