==History==
In [historical records](/source/history) the [village](/source/village) was first mentioned in 1312. Before the establishment of independent [Czechoslovakia](/source/Czechoslovakia) in 1918, Pichne was part of [Zemplén County](/source/Zempl%C3%A9n_County) within the [Kingdom of Hungary](/source/Kingdom_of_Hungary). From 1939 to 1944, it was part of the [Slovak Republic](/source/Slovak_Republic_(1939%E2%80%931945)). In 1944, the [Red Army](/source/Red_Army) dislodged the [Wehrmacht](/source/Wehrmacht) from Pichne and it was once again part of Czechoslovakia.
