**Phyllus** or **Phylos** ([Ancient Greek](/source/Ancient_Greek_language): Φύλλος) was a city near Mount Phylleium in the district of [Thessaliotis](/source/Thessaliotis), in [ancient Thessaly](/source/Ancient_Thessaly).[1] [Strabo](/source/Strabo) says the city was noted for a temple of [Apollo Phylleius](/source/Apollo).[1] [Statius](/source/Statius) calls this city **Phylli**.[2] The city is also cited by [Stephanus of Byzantium](/source/Stephanus_of_Byzantium).[3]

The site of Phyllus is at Magoula Paliambela, a large [tell](/source/Tell_(archaeology)) in the modern municipal unit of [Fyllo](/source/Fyllo).[4][5][6]
