# Phyaces

***Phyaces*** is a [monotypic](/source/Monotypic_taxon) [genus](/source/Genus) of Sri Lankan [jumping spiders](/source/Salticidae) containing the single species, ***Phyaces comosus***. It was first described by [Eugène Louis Simon](/source/Eug%C3%A8ne_Simon) in 1902,[2] and is only found in [Sri Lanka](/source/Sri_Lanka).[1]
