**Phoenixville station** is a defunct [commuter railroad](/source/Commuter_railroad) [station](/source/Train_station) in the [eponymous](/source/Eponymous) [borough](/source/Borough_(Pennsylvania)) of [Phoenixville](/source/Phoenixville%2C_Pennsylvania), [Chester County, Pennsylvania](/source/Chester_County%2C_Pennsylvania). Located at 4 Bridge Street in Phoenixville, station formerly served trains of [SEPTA Regional Rail](/source/SEPTA_Regional_Rail)'s [Pottsville Line](/source/Pottsville_Line), a [diesel line](/source/SEPTA_diesel_service) between [Reading Terminal](/source/Reading_Terminal) in [Philadelphia](/source/Philadelphia%2C_Pennsylvania) and [Pottsville station](/source/Pottsville_station) in [Schuylkill County](/source/Schuylkill_County%2C_Pennsylvania). The station consisted of a brick station depot and a singular [side platform](/source/Side_platform). The former depot currently serves as a restaurant and catering venue.[4][5]

Phoenixville station was originally built by the [Reading Railroad](/source/Reading_Railroad), and later served the [SEPTA diesel service](/source/SEPTA_diesel_service) extending from the Norristown section of the [Manayunk/Norristown Line](/source/Manayunk%2FNorristown_Line) to [Pottsville](/source/Pottsville%2C_Pennsylvania). It was taken out of service in 1981, when [SEPTA](/source/SEPTA) discontinued the diesel service. The station was also the terminus of the [Pickering Valley Railroad](/source/Pickering_Valley_Railroad) to [Eagle](/source/Eagle%2C_Pennsylvania).
