==Club career==
Lowry began his career at 18 years of age with local side [Institute](/source/Institute_F.C.), attracting interest from [Coleraine](/source/Coleraine_F.C.) and having trials with [Norwich City](/source/Norwich_City_F.C.) and [Leicester City](/source/Leicester_City_F.C.) at the age of 19.<ref>[https://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/irish/7806551.stm Bannsiders chase midfielder Lowry]</ref> He moved to [Linfield](/source/Linfield_F.C.) in 2009 and went on to win several major honours with the Blues before leaving in 2014 for his hometown club [Derry City](/source/Derry_City_F.C.). In January 2016 he joined [Portadown](/source/Portadown_F.C.) on a short-term contract until the end of the season, with Lowry flying over from London every week to play. In the summer of 2016 it was announced that Lowry had joined the champions [Crusaders](/source/Crusaders_F.C.).
