**Philip Clifford** (born 15 March 1979, in [Bantry](/source/Bantry), [County Cork](/source/County_Cork)) is an [Irish](/source/Irish_people) former [Gaelic footballer](/source/Gaelic_football) who played for his local club [Bantry Blues](/source/Bantry_Blues), winning a Cork County championship in 1998, and was [captain](/source/Captain_(Gaelic_games)) of the senior [Cork county team](/source/Cork_county_football_team) from 1999 until 2005.[1]
