**Philaidae** or **Philaidai** ([Ancient Greek](/source/Ancient_Greek_language): Φιλαΐδαι) was a [deme](/source/Deme) of [ancient Attica](/source/Ancient_Attica), which appears to have been near [Brauron](/source/Brauron), since it is said to have derived its name from [Philaeus](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Philaeus_(son_of_Ajax)&action=edit&redlink=1), the son of the [Telamonian Ajax](/source/Ajax_the_Great), who dwelt in Brauron. Philaïdae was the deme of [Peisistratus](/source/Peisistratus).[1][2]

Its site is located about 0.25 miles (0.40 km) west of the basilica at Brauron.[3][4]
