# Petr Ruman

**Petr Ruman** (born 2 November 1976) is a Czech former professional [footballer](/source/Association_football).[1]

## Career

In the first competitive match for [1. FSV Mainz 05](/source/1._FSV_Mainz_05) in the 2005–06 season, Ruman scored the first goal of the [UEFA Cup](/source/UEFA_Cup) qualification match first leg against [Mika Ashtarak](/source/FC_Mika), the final score being 4–0. This goal made him the first player to score a goal for Mainz in an international competition.

He coached [Türkgücü München](/source/T%C3%BCrkg%C3%BCc%C3%BC_M%C3%BCnchen) from the 2021–22 season on[2] but was sacked after just three months.[3]

On 2 June 2025, Ruman was appointed as the manager of [Slovak First Football League](/source/Slovak_First_Football_League) club [Žilina](/source/M%C5%A0K_%C5%BDilina).[4]
