Peter Scheiffele studied [biochemistry](/source/biochemistry) at the [Freie Universität Berlin](/source/Freie_Universit%C3%A4t_Berlin). Scheiffele investigates the mechanisms in the formation of [neuronal networks](/source/neuronal_networks) in the [central nervous system](/source/central_nervous_system). His focus is the formation of [synapses](/source/synapses).
