# Peter Prause

**Peter Prause** (born 17 March 1943) is a German [boxer](/source/Boxing). He competed in the [men's featherweight](/source/Boxing_at_the_1972_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Featherweight) event at the [1972 Summer Olympics](/source/1972_Summer_Olympics).[1] At the 1972 Summer Olympics, he lost to [Jochen Bachfeld](/source/Jochen_Bachfeld) of East Germany.[1]
