# Peter Leaver

**Peter Lawrence Oppenheim Leaver** [KC](/source/King's_Counsel) (born 28 November 1944) was Chief Executive of the [Premier League](/source/Premier_League) from 1997 to 1999.[1]

He was educated at [Aldenham School](/source/Aldenham_School) and [Trinity College Dublin](/source/Trinity_College_Dublin).[2] He was a deputy [High Court](/source/High_Court_of_Justice) judge from 1994 to 2017, and was Chairman of the [London Court of International Arbitration](/source/London_Court_of_International_Arbitration) from 2008 to 2012.[3]

He is the father of the publishing executive [Marcus Leaver](/source/Marcus_Leaver).
