Gilpin''', was an [Irish](/source/Irish_people) [racehorse trainer](/source/racehorse_trainer). He was [Champion Trainer](/source/British_flat_racing_Champion_Trainer) in 1904 and his most notable winner was the filly [Pretty Polly](/source/Pretty_Polly_(horse)) who won the [Fillies Triple Crown](/source/Triple_Crown_of_Thoroughbred_Racing) in 1904. In 1883, he married Amy Mary Louisa, daughter of Capt.
