# Peter Gildea

**Peter Gildea** (1883–1940) was a Scottish professional [football](/source/Association_football) [outside right](/source/Outside_right) who played in the [Football League](/source/Football_League) for [Bury](/source/Bury_F.C.).[1] He also played in the [Scottish League](/source/Scottish_League) for [Airdrieonians](/source/Airdrieonians_F.C._(1878)) and later served [Celtic](/source/Celtic_F.C.) as a scout.[2][3]

## Personal life

Gildea's brothers [Harry](/source/Harry_Gildea) and [Willie](/source/Willie_Gildea) were also footballers.[3]
