'''Peter Edgecomb''' is an American politician from [Maine](/source/Maine). Edgecomb represented District 1 in the [Maine Senate](/source/Maine_Senate). He previously represented District 4 in the [Maine House of Representatives](/source/Maine_House_of_Representatives), which was part of [Aroostook County](/source/Aroostook_County%2C_Maine). He resides in the city of [Caribou](/source/Caribou%2C_Maine). He is a [Republican](/source/Maine_Republican_Party) and was first elected to the House in 2004. Edgecomb graduated from the [University of Maine](/source/University_of_Maine) in [Orono](/source/Orono%2C_Maine) in 1963. He later earned an M.A. in education at the [University of New Hampshire](/source/University_of_New_Hampshire) and was a teacher and principal.<ref name=Bio/>

From 2010 to 2012, Edgecomb was co-chairman of the Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry Joint Standing Committee.

His grandson [Anthony "A.J." Edgecomb](/source/Anthony_Edgecomb) at age 21 became a member of Maine's House of Representatives 127th Maine Legislature.
