His first international medal came in 2009, when he and won the bronze medal in the men's lightweight quadruple sculls at the Under-23 World Championships.[2] In 2010, he won the silver medal in the men's lightweight single sculls at the Under-23 World Championship.[3] in 2011, he finally stood on the top step of an Under-23 World Championship podium, winning the men's lightweight double sculls with [Kieren Emery](/source/Kieren_Emery).[4] That year, Chambers and Emery also won the senior men's lightweight double sculls [World Championship](/source/2011_World_Rowing_Championships).[5] At the [2012 Summer Olympics](/source/2012_Summer_Olympics) in [London](/source/London) he was part of the British crew that won the silver medal in the lightweight men's four, alongside his brother Richard, [Rob Williams](/source/Rob_Williams_(rower,_born_1985)) and [Chris Bartley](/source/Chris_Bartley_(rower)).[6] At the [2013 World Championship](/source/2013_World_Rowing_Championships), he won bronze with his brother in the men's lightweight double sculls.[7] In 2014, Chambers won silver at the [European Championship](/source/2014_European_Rowing_Championships) and bronze at the [World Championship](/source/2014_World_Rowing_Championships) in the men's lightweight four.[8][9] He was the [2015 European Champion](/source/2015_European_Rowing_Championships) in the lightweight men's pair, along with [Joel Cassells](/source/Joel_Cassells), who also started his rowing career at [Bann Rowing Club](/source/Bann_Rowing_Club).[10][citation needed] In 2016, he won [European](/source/2016_European_Rowing_Championships) silver in the men's lightweight four,[11] and was selected for the British Olympic team competing in the [men's lightweight coxless four](/source/Rowing_at_the_2016_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_lightweight_coxless_four) event with Chris Bartley, [Mark Aldred](/source/Mark_Aldred) and [Jono Clegg](/source/Jono_Clegg), finishing in seventh place.[12] In 2017 at the [2017 World Rowing Championships](/source/2017_World_Rowing_Championships) he won a silver in the lightweight quadruple sculls.[13] ## References 1.
