# Peter Borwick

**Peter Malise Borwick** (21 November 1913 – 23 December 1983) was an English cricketer active in 1932 who played for [Northamptonshire](/source/Northamptonshire_County_Cricket_Club) (Northants).[1]

## Biography

Borwick was born at [Aldby Park](/source/Aldby_Park) in the [East Riding of Yorkshire](/source/East_Riding_of_Yorkshire), England on 21 November 1913. He appeared in three first-class matches as a righthanded [batsman](/source/Batting_(cricket)) who [bowled](/source/Bowling_(cricket)) [left-arm orthodox spin](/source/Left-arm_orthodox_spin). He scored 25 [runs](/source/Run_(cricket)) with a highest score of 11 and took three [wickets](/source/Wicket) with a best performance of one for 25.[2]

He also competed in [two equestrian events](/source/Equestrian_at_the_1948_Summer_Olympics) at the [1948 Summer Olympics](/source/1948_Summer_Olympics).[3][4]

Borwick died in [Haselbech](/source/Haselbech), [Northamptonshire](/source/Northamptonshire) on 23 December 1983, at the age of 70.[5]
