'''Peter Jon Angelsen''' (born  6 February 1935) is a [Norwegian](/source/Norway) politician for the [Centre Party](/source/Senterpartiet) (''Sp''). He was born in [Vestvågøy Municipality](/source/Vestv%C3%A5g%C3%B8y_Municipality) in [Nordland](/source/Nordland) county. He represented [Nordland](/source/Nordland_(Storting_constituency)) in the [Storting](/source/Storting) for four periods, from 1981 to 1997. He served as Minister of Fisheries in the [first government](/source/First_cabinet_Bondevik) of [Kjell Magne Bondevik](/source/Kjell_Magne_Bondevik), from 1997, as well as minister of Nordic cooperation from 1999 until he resigned on 21 January 2000, to be replaced by [Lars Peder Brekk](/source/Lars_Peder_Brekk).
