A **pet tree** is a kind of [keyring](/source/Keyring) or [mobile phone](/source/Mobile_phone) accessory that contains a very small [cactus](/source/Cactus) or [succulent plant](/source/Succulent_plant) in a [bell jar](/source/Bell_jar). The plant can be watered and, once it grows too large for the accessory, can be removed so that it may continue growing.[1] Pet trees are popular in [Japan](/source/Japan), but are also available in [the West](/source/Western_world).[2][3]
