'''Pesce Peninsula''' ({{coord|71|41|S|74|57|W|display=inline,title}}) is a broad snow-covered [peninsula](/source/peninsula) lying between [Rameau Inlet](/source/Rameau_Inlet) and [Verdi Inlet](/source/Verdi_Inlet) on the north side of the [Beethoven Peninsula](/source/Beethoven_Peninsula), situated in the southwest portion of [Alexander Island](/source/Alexander_Island), [Antarctica](/source/Antarctica). [Dykeman Point](/source/Dykeman_Point) is the main and only headland on Pesce Peninsula marking the northern extremity of the peninsula. Photographed from the air by [Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition](/source/Ronne_Antarctic_Research_Expedition) (RARE), 1947–48, and mapped from these photographs by [D. Searle](/source/D._Searle) of [Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey](/source/Falkland_Islands_Dependencies_Survey) (FIDS), 1960. Named by [Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names](/source/Advisory_Committee_on_Antarctic_Names) (US-ACAN) for Commander [Victor L. Pesce](/source/Victor_L._Pesce), [U.S. Navy](/source/U.S._Navy), [Commanding Officer](/source/Commanding_Officer), [U.S. Navy Antarctic Development Squadron Six](/source/U.S._Navy_Antarctic_Development_Squadron_Six) ([VXE-6](/source/VXE-6)), from May 1980 to May 1981. Pesce Peninsula is one of the eight peninsulas of Alexander Island.
