# Perry Robertson

**Perry Robertson** is an American [sound editor](/source/Sound_editor_(filmmaking)), [supervising sound editor](/source/Supervising_sound_editor), [sound mixer](/source/Sound_mixer), composer and musician, who is known for doing major [motion pictures](/source/Motion_picture) such as [Black Hawk Down](/source/Black_Hawk_Down_(film)), [Juno](/source/Juno_(film)), [The Bourne Identity](/source/The_Bourne_Identity_(2002_film)), [Up in the Air](/source/Up_in_the_Air_(2009_film)), [Rambo](/source/Rambo_(2008_film)) and [Thank You For Smoking](/source/Thank_You_For_Smoking_(film)).[1]

Robertson has contributed to over 100 major movie productions, as well as to some TV and [Direct-to-video](/source/Direct-to-video) productions. In 2002 he won the [Golden Reel Award](/source/Golden_Reel_Award_(Motion_Picture_Sound_Editors)) for [Black Hawk Down](/source/Black_Hawk_Down_(film)) (Best Sound Editing – Effects & Foley, Domestic Feature Film). In 2003 as well as in 2004 he was nominated for another two Golden Reel Awards, for [The Bourne Identity](/source/The_Bourne_Identity_(2002_film)) and for [Open Range](/source/Open_Range_(2003_film)) (both Best Sound Editing in Domestic Features – Sound Effects & Foley).[2]

He lives in Los Angeles and is the guitarist of the [blues rock](/source/Blues_rock) band *Kelly's Lot*, with whom he occasionally also tours Europe. They released several albums.
