***Perforatella*** is a [genus](/source/Genus) of air-breathing [land snails](/source/Land_snail), [terrestrial](/source/Terrestrial_molluscs) [pulmonate](/source/Pulmonate) [gastropod](/source/Gastropod) [molluscs](/source/Mollusc) in the subfamily [Hygromiinae](/source/Hygromiinae) of the family [Hygromiidae](/source/Hygromiidae), the hairy snails and their allies.

This genus of snails is native to northeastern [Europe](/source/Europe) to the [Caucasus](/source/Caucasus) and [Siberia](/source/Siberia).

Species in this genus of snails create and use [love darts](/source/Love_darts) in their mating behavior.
