**Per "Pelle" Lindström** (9 April 1936 – 21 August 2009, [Gothenburg](/source/Gothenburg))[1] was a [Swedish](/source/Swedish_people) [logician](/source/Logician), after whom [Lindström's theorem](/source/Lindstr%C3%B6m's_theorem) and the [Lindström quantifier](/source/Lindstr%C3%B6m_quantifier) are named.[2] (He also independently discovered [Ehrenfeucht–Fraïssé games](/source/Ehrenfeucht%E2%80%93Fra%C3%AFss%C3%A9_game).[1]) He was one of the key followers of [Lars Svenonius](/source/Lars_Svenonius).[3]

Lindström was awarded a PhD from the [University of Gothenburg](/source/University_of_Gothenburg) in 1966.[4] His thesis was titled *Some Results in the Theory of Models of First Order Languages*. A [festschrift](/source/Festschrift) for Lindström was published in 1986.[5]
