# Peeter Luksep

Swedish politician (1955–2015)

**Peeter Luksep** (29 January 1955 – 8 September 2015) was a Swedish politician of [Estonian](/source/Estonians) descent, most notable for being a member of the [Swedish Parliament](/source/Swedish_Parliament) for the [Moderate Party](/source/Moderate_Party) from 1991 to 1994.

Luksep was born in [Hammarby](/source/Hammarby%2C_Stockholm) and began his studies at the [Stockholm School of Economics](/source/Stockholm_School_of_Economics) in 1974. He earned a business degree in 1981 and received the title of Master of Business Administration.

He was an MP for the Moderate Party between 1991 and 1994 and deputy director at the [V&S Group](/source/V%26S_Group). He was also one of the elected officials abroad to support the [Congress of Estonia](/source/Congress_of_Estonia). He founded the [Måndagsrörelsen](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=M%C3%A5ndagsr%C3%B6relsen&action=edit&redlink=1) [[sv](https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%A5ndagsr%C3%B6relsen)], together with [Gunnar Hökmark](/source/Gunnar_H%C3%B6kmark), Håkan Holmberg and [Andres Küng](/source/Andres_K%C3%BCng). He died in Stockholm in 2015.[1]
