# Pear Island

**Pear Island** ([64°31′S 62°54′W](https://geohack.toolforge.org/geohack.php?params=64_31_S_62_54_W)) is a small [island](/source/Island) lying immediately southwest of [False Island](/source/False_Island), off the northeast coast of [Anvers Island](/source/Anvers_Island) in the [Palmer Archipelago](/source/Palmer_Archipelago), off the [Antarctic Peninsula](/source/Antarctic_Peninsula).

The existence of the island is noted on a British hydrographic chart of 1929; the name appears on a British hydrographic chart of 1952.[1]
