After winning the 2010 [FAI Women's Cup](/source/FAI_Women's_Cup), Peamount United qualified for the [2011–12 UEFA Women's Champions League](/source/2011%E2%80%9312_UEFA_Women's_Champions_League). They finished second in their group and, as the best runners-up, they qualified for the Round of 32.
