**Paul de Villiers** (born 13 January 2003) is a South African [rugby union](/source/Rugby_union) player, who plays for the [Stormers](/source/Stormers) in the [United Rugby Championship](/source/United_Rugby_Championship) and the [Western Province](/source/Stormers) in the [Currie Cup](/source/Currie_Cup). His preferred position is [flanker](/source/Flanker_(rugby_union)).[1]

## Early career

De Villiers was born in [George, South Africa](/source/George%2C_South_Africa) and was a resident of [Dagbreek](/source/Dagbreek).[2] He came through the academy system of the [Western Province](/source/Stormers), representing their U21 side.[3] De Villiers represented [South Africa U20](/source/South_Africa_national_under-20_rugby_union_team) in 2022 and 2023, being named captain in 2023.[4]

## Professional career

De Villiers made his professional debut for the [Western Province](/source/Stormers) in the [2023 Currie Cup Premier Division](/source/2023_Currie_Cup_Premier_Division), debuting against the [Sharks](/source/Sharks_(rugby_union)).[5] He would go on to make a further 2 appearances that season. He has been named in the [Stormers](/source/Stormers) squad ahead of the [2023–24 United Rugby Championship](/source/2023%E2%80%9324_United_Rugby_Championship).
