**Paul R. Feeney** is an American politician who serves in the [Massachusetts Senate](/source/Massachusetts_Senate) representing the Bristol and Norfolk district. He is a registered Democrat.

Feeney graduated from [Don Bosco Technical High School](/source/Don_Bosco_Technical_High_School_(Boston)). He worked for [Verizon](/source/Verizon) as an office technician, and served as the legislative director for the [International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers](/source/International_Brotherhood_of_Electrical_Workers). He served on the [board of selectmen](/source/Board_of_selectmen) for [Foxboro, Massachusetts](/source/Foxboro%2C_Massachusetts), from 2007 though 2010. Feeney has also served as [chief of staff](/source/Chief_of_staff) for [Jim Timilty](/source/Jim_Timilty) and as labor director for [Stephen F. Lynch](/source/Stephen_F._Lynch)'s campaign for the [United States Senate](/source/United_States_Senate) in the [2013 special election](/source/2013_United_States_Senate_special_election_in_Massachusetts). Feeney was state director of Connecticut and Massachusetts for the [Bernie Sanders 2016 presidential campaign](/source/Bernie_Sanders_2016_presidential_campaign).[1]

When Timilty resigned in 2017, Feeney ran in the special election to succeed him, defeating [Republican](/source/Republican_Party_(United_States)) Jacob Ventura.[2] Feeney defeated Ventura in the 2018 general election.[3]
