# Paul Alger

**Paul Alger** (13 August 1943 – 14 June 2025) was a German [footballer](/source/Association_football) who played as a [forward](/source/Forward_(association_football)).[1] Between 1966 and 1968, Alger played for [1. FC Köln](/source/1._FC_K%C3%B6ln). In 1968, he helped Köln to a victory of the [DFB-Pokal](/source/DFB-Pokal) after being substituted in the 46th minute.[2][3] Alger died on 14 June 2025, at the age of 81.[4]
