**Patuakhali-4** is a constituency represented in the [Jatiya Sangsad](/source/Jatiya_Sangsad) (National Parliament) of [Bangladesh](/source/Bangladesh). The current [Member of Parliament](/source/Member_of_Parliament) in this constituency is [ABM Mosharraf Hossain](/source/ABM_Mosharraf_Hossain) of [Bangladesh Nationalist Party](/source/Bangladesh_Nationalist_Party).

## Boundaries

The constituency encompasses [Kalapara](/source/Kalapara_Upazila) and [Rangabali](/source/Rangabali_Upazila) upazilas.[2]

## History

The constituency was created for the first general elections in newly independent Bangladesh, held in 1973.
