==Career==
De Forest acted in over eighty films from 1912 to 1920, with over thirty appearances each in 1915 and in 1916. She worked with several production companies including [Lubin Manufacturing Company](/source/Lubin_Manufacturing_Company), [Vitagraph Studios](/source/Vitagraph_Studios) and [Fox Film Corporation](/source/Fox_Film). She acted in several comedies directed by [Lawrence Semon](/source/Larry_Semon) of Vitagraph in the mid-1910s. She also acted in some [Broadway](/source/Broadway_theatre) [musicals](/source/Musical_theatre).<ref name="pdfIBDB" />

De Forest's last film appearance was in [Sunset Sprague](/source/Sunset_Sprague), a 1920 [Western](/source/Western_(genre)) in which she was the female lead. She died in August 1966 at the age of 72.
