==Personal==
At the age of seven, Jensen was diagnosed with [macular dystrophy](/source/Vitelliform_macular_dystrophy) and [Stargardt disease](/source/Stargardt_disease)  at the age of seven.<ref name="apc">{{cite web|title=Patrick Jensen|url=http://www.paralympic.org.au/athlete/patrick-jensen/|website=Australian Paralympic Committee website|accessdate=22 February 2018}}</ref> Jensen has 70 per cent sight in his left eye, but his right is 70 per cent blind.<ref name="connell">{{cite news|last1=Connell|first1=Tim|title=Blind faith: Patrick Jensen, visually impaired skier|url=https://www.newcastleherald.com.au/story/3247645/blind-faith-patrick-jensen-visually-impaired-skier/|access-date=22 February 2018|work=Herald Sun|date=31 July 2015}}</ref>  He is the drummer of [Newcastle, New South Wales](/source/Newcastle%2C_New_South_Wales) based skramz band George Booth.<ref name=apc/>  In 2018, he was studying massage therapy at Evolve College and  considering a career in physiotherapy after 2018 Winter Paralympics.<ref name=apc/>

==Skiing==
In 2013, Jensen attended a Disabled Wintersport Australia camp.<ref name=apc/>  In 2013, he debuted for Australia at the IPC Alpine Skiing World Cup in Thredbo, New South Wales.<ref name=apc/> With his guide Lara Falk, they finished third in the Men's Giant Slalom B2 and Super-G B2 at the  2017 IPC Alpine Skiing Europa Cup in Veysonnaz, Switzerland.<ref name=apc/> At the 2017 World Para-alpine Skiing Championships in Tarvisio, Italy, they finished ninth in the Men's Slalom B2.<ref name=apc/>
