He is a member of the [Quebec Liberal Party](/source/Quebec_Liberal_Party).

Huot has a [bachelor's degree](/source/bachelor's_degree) in [political sciences](/source/political_sciences) and a [master's degree](/source/master's_degree) in political analysis.
