She represented [Riverview](/source/Riverview_(electoral_district)) in the [Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick](/source/Legislative_Assembly_of_New_Brunswick) from 1999 to 2002 as a [Progressive Conservative](/source/Progressive_Conservative_Party_of_New_Brunswick) member.

She was born in [Moncton, New Brunswick](/source/Moncton%2C_New_Brunswick) and educated at [Acadia University](/source/Acadia_University). She was a school board trustee and was president of the New Brunswick School Trustees Association from 1987 to 1990 and of the Canadian School Boards Association from 1994 to 1997.
