**Partido MAN** is a [political party](/source/Political_party) in [Curaçao](/source/Cura%C3%A7ao) founded in 1971,[1] which has two of the 21 seats of the [Estates of Curaçao](/source/Estates_of_Cura%C3%A7ao) after the [Curaçao general election of 2021](/source/2021_Cura%C3%A7ao_general_election).[2] In the elections preceding the [dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles](/source/Dissolution_of_the_Netherlands_Antilles) the party gained two seats as well and joined the coalition government.[3]

## Name

MAN originally stood for *Movementu Antia Nobo* ([English](/source/English_language): New Antilles Movement), but a party congress in 2005 decided to drop that meaning and let MAN be the name of the party in itself.

## Netherlands Antilles

[Don Martina](/source/Don_Martina), minister-president of the Netherlands Antilles from 1979 until 1984 and from 1986 to 1988, was MAN-related.[1]

At the [legislative](/source/Legislative) [elections in the Netherlands Antilles](/source/Elections_in_the_Netherlands_Antilles), 18 January 2002, the party won 5.2% of the popular vote and no seats,[4] at the [Netherlands Antilles general election](/source/2006_Netherlands_Antilles_general_election) of 2006, the party returned in the [Estates of the Netherlands Antilles](/source/Estates_of_the_Netherlands_Antilles) with 3 out of 14 seats of the Curaçao constituency in the 22 seat parliament.[5] In the last [Netherlands Antilles general election](/source/2010_Netherlands_Antilles_general_election) in 2010, the party participated together with [NPA](/source/Niun_Paso_Atras) and [FK](/source/Forsa_K%C3%B2rsou) obtaining 5 seats.[6]

In the [island council (Netherlands Antilles)](/source/Island_council_(Netherlands_Antilles)) of 2003 and 2007, the party obtained 2 and 5 seats respectively.[7][8] The two seats the party obtained in the 2010 island council elections continued as the [Estates of Curaçao](/source/Estates_of_Cura%C3%A7ao) on 10 October 2010.
