# Parsac

**Parsac** (paʁsak; [Auvergnat](/source/Auvergnat_dialect): *Parçac*) is a [commune](/source/Communes_of_France) in the [Creuse](/source/Creuse) [department](/source/Departments_of_France) ([Nouvelle-Aquitaine](/source/Nouvelle-Aquitaine) [region](/source/Regions_of_France)) in central [France](/source/France). It was formed on 1 January 2025, with the merger of [Parsac-Rimondeix](/source/Parsac-Rimondeix) and [Blaudeix](/source/Blaudeix).[2] Parsac-Rimondeix was the result of the merger, on 1 January 2016, of the former communes Parsac and [Rimondeix](/source/Rimondeix).[3] Parsac is situated on the banks of the river Verraux, some 23 km (14 mi) east of [Guéret](/source/Gu%C3%A9ret).
