# Parasthena

***Parasthena*** is a [monotypic](/source/Monotypic) [moth](/source/Moth) genus in the family [Geometridae](/source/Geometridae). Its only species, ***Parasthena flexilinea***, is found on [Sulawesi](/source/Sulawesi), in the [Philippines](/source/Philippines) and [Borneo](/source/Borneo) and possibly on [Seram](/source/Seram) and [Papua New Guinea](/source/Papua_New_Guinea). Both the genus and species were [first described](/source/Species_description) by Warren in 1902.[2]

The ground colour of the wings is pale grey-brown with fine grey-brown fasciation and black discal spots.[3]
