'''Panikkar''' is a [Nair](/source/Nair) variation of the [Panicker](/source/Panicker) title used in India, specifically in the state of [Kerala](/source/Kerala), which roughly comprises the former (British) [Madras Presidency](/source/Madras_Presidency) district of [Malabar](/source/Malabar_District) and the princely states of [Cochin](/source/Kingdom_of_Cochin) and [Travancore](/source/Travancore).
