**Panchagarh-2** is a constituency represented in the [Jatiya Sangsad](/source/Jatiya_Sangsad) (National Parliament) of [Bangladesh](/source/Bangladesh). The current [Member of Parliament](/source/Member_of_Parliament) in this constituency is [Farhad Hossain Azad](/source/Farhad_Hossain_Azad) of [Bangladesh Nationalist Party](/source/Bangladesh_Nationalist_Party).

## Boundaries

The constituency encompasses all the unions of [Boda](/source/Boda_Upazila) and [Debiganj](/source/Debiganj_Upazila) upazilas and the [Boda Municipality](/source/Boda%2C_Bangladesh).[1][2][3]

## History

The constituency was created in 1984 from a Dinajpur constituency when the former Dinajpur District was split into three districts: [Panchagarh](/source/Panchagarh_District), [Thakurgaon](/source/Thakurgaon_District), and [Dinajpur](/source/Dinajpur_District%2C_Bangladesh).[4]

Ahead of the [2026 general election](/source/2026_Bangladeshi_general_election), the Election Commission expanded the boundaries of the constituency to include the Boda Pourashova area of [Atwari upazilla](/source/Atwari_Upazila).[5]
