# Paloich

**Paloich** refers to an area in the [Melut County](/source/Melut_County) of [Upper Nile State](/source/Upper_Nile_(state)) in the [Greater Upper Nile](/source/Greater_Upper_Nile) region of [South Sudan](/source/South_Sudan). It includes oil-related [Paloich Airport](/source/Paloich_Airport) (also spelled as [Palouge Airport](/source/Palouge_Airport)[1]) and adjacent [Palogue oil field](/source/Palogue_oil_field).[2]

The variations of the name of the place vary greatly and include: Paloich, Palogue, Palouge, Baloish, Paloug, Paluge, Phaloich, Phalogue, Phalouge, Baloish, Phaloug, Phaluge, Paloch and others.

There also seems to be a Paloich Market.[3] and Palouge Power Plant.[4]
