# Pajualuse

**Pajualuse** is a village in [Jõhvi Parish](/source/J%C3%B5hvi_Parish), [Ida-Viru County](/source/Ida-Viru_County) in northeastern [Estonia](/source/Estonia). It is located about 4 km (2 mi) southwest of the town of [Jõhvi](/source/J%C3%B5hvi) and 2 km west of [Ahtme](/source/Ahtme), district of [Kohtla-Järve](/source/Kohtla-J%C3%A4rve), by the [Jõhvi](/source/J%C3%B5hvi)–[Tartu](/source/Tartu)–[Valga](/source/Valga,_Estonia) road ([E264](/source/European_route_E264)). The entrance of the Viru [oil shale](/source/Oil_shale) mine is located to the south, in [Kalina](/source/Kalina,_Estonia). As of the [2011 census](/source/2011_Estonian_census), Pajualuse's population was 50.[1]
