'''Pageant of Steam''' is an annual [steam fair](/source/steam_fair) held on Gehan Road near [Canandaigua](/source/Canandaigua%2C_New_York), [New York](/source/New_York_(state)) ([Town of Hopewell](/source/Hopewell%2C_New_York)) between [Rochester](/source/Rochester%2C_New_York) and [Syracuse](/source/Syracuse%2C_New_York). It started in 1960 and is hosted by the New York Steam Engine Association.

The pageant is held the second full weekend of August, starting on Wednesday and continuing through Saturday. Besides [steam engines](/source/steam_engines), it features an antique [tractor pull](/source/tractor_pull) and a large [flea market](/source/flea_market). Due to the nearby [Empire Farm Days](/source/Empire_Farm_Days) event that was in various Upstate New York locations including nearby [Seneca Falls](/source/Seneca_Falls_(village)%2C_New_York) and [Pompey](/source/Pompey%2C_New_York), held from Tuesday until Thursday,<ref>EmpireFarmDays [http://www.empirefarmdays.com/] empirefarmdays.com</ref> some of the flea market vendors and many  visitors attend the Steam Pageant on Friday and Saturday. As of 2023 Empire Farm Days is a week before the Steam Pageant.
