## Boundaries

The constituency encompasses [Atgharia](/source/Atgharia_Upazila) and [Ishwardi](/source/Ishwardi_Upazila) upazilas.[2][3]

## History

The constituency was created for the first general elections in newly independent Bangladesh, held in 1973.
