Paarl Rocks played in the first two editions of the MLS in [2018](/source/2018_Mzansi_Super_League) and [2019](/source/2019_Mzansi_Super_League), before COVID-19 delayed the competition in 2020. The team won the competition in 2019<ref>{{Cite web|title=Faf du Plessis' Paarl Rocks win Mzansi Super League|url=https://www.icc-cricket.com/news/1536495|access-date=2020-07-20|website=www.icc-cricket.com|language=en}}</ref> but were dissolved in 2021 in response to the reform of the domestic structure of South African cricket.
