**Peroxisomal 3,2-trans-enoyl-CoA isomerase** is an [enzyme](/source/Enzyme) that in humans is encoded by the *PECI* [gene](/source/Gene).[5][6]

PECI is an auxiliary enzyme that catalyzes an [isomerization](/source/Isomerization) step required for the beta-oxidation of [unsaturated fatty acids](/source/Unsaturated_fatty_acids).[supplied by OMIM][6]
