# PDFsharp

.NET library for processing PDF files

**PDFsharp** is an [open source](/source/Open-source_software)[1] [.NET](/source/.NET_Framework) library for processing [PDF](/source/PDF) files. It is written in [C#](/source/C_Sharp_(programming_language)). The library can be used to create, render, print, split, merge, modify, and extract text and meta-data of [PDF](/source/PDF) files.[2][3][4]

Features include images with transparency (color mask, monochrome mask, alpha mask), font embedding and subsetting, and graphical implementation based either on GDI+ or WPF.
